Bangers and Crash Percussion
A collective of Irish percussionists, from huge shows that fill the stage with instruments to intimate concerts, school workshops and street performances.
I founded Bangers and Crash and direct the group. Our flexibility means we can perform everything from huge, spectacular shows to small, intimate concerts. Projects have included a Music Network tour, performances at Body&Soul, Westport Arts Festival, Killaloe Chamber Music Festival, Sounds from a Safe Harbour, Kaleidoscope Night and more.
Recent projects
Percussion Sextet tour, 2024
Lime Tree Theatre, Limerick; Everyman, Cork; VISUAL, Carlow; and The Black Box, Galway. With a new participatory commission by Brian Irvine and my own Up (Sextet No. 2), plus workshops in each city for young local musicians who joined us on stage.
